The only thing that helped

To dispel sadness today, after hearing about Robyn, was the song from VBS the past two years.

“Hear, O Israel,
the Lord our God, the Lord is One.”

I don’t know why.

(Robyn Holmes passed away on Sept 1, 2006.  Goodbye, dear friend, until we meet again at Jesus’ feet.)

More wildlife in the house, and I’m not talking about neighborhood children


Monday morning we heard chirping and I thought a bird had fallen out of a tree.  Z and A went outside to check while I looked out the window, and it was a baby squirrel crying on the ground.  (When you’re closer, it sounds more like a chirpy “me-eew.”)

We’ve been keeping him warm, and he drinks puppy formula.  Today he’s going to live with a wildlife rehabilitator.

B and A were both baptized Sunday.  He changed his mind about the goggles, and she stopped saying “babbitized” — kind of sad.
