In order of priority… I’m a Christ-follower, wife, homeschooling mom, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, music-lover, children’s ministry director, avid reader, pet-lover, crochet enthusiast, bookseller, jewelry artisan, flower gardener, and invisible illness community member. The list could be longer, but that’s the most important stuff.
My family: Kevin and I have been married for 17 years. He’s my favorite person. Our kids are Zander (15), Brendon (13), and Aislynn (10). We’ve been homeschooling since 1998.
25 Random Things About Me
1. I don’t like unloading the dishwasher.
2. My favorite critters are kids, cats and turtles.
3. When I grow up, I want to be a grandma.
4. I have to read daily.
5. I’m the eldest of six siblings.
6. I’m addicted to Facebook. Maybe I should give it up for Lent…
7. I’m not nearly the chocoholic I’m purported to be. Sometimes I go several days without.
8. I eat small things by twos. I can do it otherwise, but it bothers me.
9. I want to know why God didn’t put more brisket on a cow.
10. At least one of my children makes me laugh every day.
11. We’ve been married for 17 years, and I like my husband better all the time.
12. I’m a homebody.
13. I want to know why God didn’t put more bacon on a pig.
14. I don’t like my nose.
15. I think it’s really hard to say 25 things about myself.
16. I don’t need much adult companionship.
17. My heroes (heroines) are my grandmothers.
18. I don’t watch 24.
19. My favorite soda is Pepsi.
20. I have a beautiful, sweet female German shepherd.
21. I get tired of saying “be quiet,” and “be nice to your brother,” and “brush your teeth,” and the list goes on…
22. My husband and I have the same birthday, but I’m two years older.
23. I don’t like to write with blue ink.
24. I’m not a people person (as my daughter just pointed out, since she’s helping me finish this list). I’m my own best company.
25. I love rain.
